How we help

Support

FoSMAG supports Southampton's museums, galleries and archives through financial grants. This helps them make purchases and carry out conservation work for which they may not otherwise have funding.

FoSMAG members contribute to our work via their annual subscriptions. Individual Friends also make generous one-off donations and bequests, with FoSMAG acting as the intermediary. We've also helped arrange donations of artefacts and collections to Southampton City Council's public collections.

As a Friend, your subscription supports activities such as:

conservation of paintings, sculptures and frames
specialist storage and preservation
purchasing items for Southampton's public collections
exhibition catalogues
specialist professional training
helping Southampton's institutions unlock additional support from bodies requiring matched funding from local sources
