Banqueting Hall, Tudor House & Garden, Bugle St, Southampton SO14 2AD, UK

About the event

L.S. Lowry described himself as a ‘simple man using only five colours’ and through his art and demeanour he gave the impression of an innocuous person whose only interest was painting the humble folk and the satanic mills of the North. However, all was not as it seemed. Join us on an amusing, anecdote filled exploration of the artist's life and work.

Ian Case is a Mancunian and an amateur artist so it is not surprising that his first encounter with art as a teenager was the work of L.S Lowry. He has been fascinated with it ever since.
