About the event

Isaac Watts was one of the most prolific hymn writers of the 18th century, but his legacy is often overshadowed by that of his contemporaries John and Charles Wesley. Born in Southampton against a backdrop of religious turmoil, Watts became one of the greatest academics of his time.
