About the event

FoSMAG is delighted to welcome director Ian Caddy, who'll present an illustrated talk about gesture, movement, posture and style in the Baroque era.

Ian was introduced to the Baroque acting style by the world authority, the late Professor Dene Barnett of Flinders University, when he sang in performances at Covent Garden, Versailles and Athens’ Herodius Atticus Theatre. In the 1980s, Ian was the principal European director of baroque acting and staging, preferring to work strictly in the original style.
