FoSMAG's website has a new look for 2023! It's been a pleasure to design the site, with help and advice from my fellow Committee members. I'll be adding more content to the website throughout the coming months and its structure will evolve to meet our needs. For now, though, the main pages are:
Information about FoSMAG, our funding activities, and how we're organised
How to join FoSMAG, and the benefits of being a member
All our upcoming events, and an overview of our past illustrated talks
Contact information by email and post,
The latest news about FoSMAG: this blog!
What do you think?
As FoSMAG's Website Manager, I'm striving to reach a balance between a visually interesting design and one that's accessible and easily navigable on computers and smartphones. Is there something you'd like to be added to the website in the future? Or perhaps you've spotted something that isn't displaying correctly on your device? Please do send me an email with your comments. I'd very much welcome any feedback, positive or negative.
Our next events
Our March and April illustrated talks are at Southampton City Gallery. As with all our illustrated talks, everyone's welcome! Admission is £4.00 for FoSMAG members, £6.00 for non-members (pay at the door, cash only please). Find out more about our guest speakers by following the links below. We're looking forward to seeing you!
About the image
I've selected this Fantasy Architectural View to echo the themes of design and construction. It's one of my favourite paintings in Southampton City Art Gallery's collections. It's curiously reminiscent of the uncomfortable cityscapes of Giorgio de Chirico.
